The Crusaders rugby franchise says ticket sales for its game in London are being boosted by English spectators eager to support earthquake relief efforts in Christchurch.
About $11 from each ticket for Monday's match between the Crusaders and the Sharks at Twickenham, will be donated to the Red Cross earthquake appeal.
Crusaders chief executive Hamish Riach says while demand for tickets has been strong from New Zealanders and South Africans living in London, English fans are also interested.
Mr Riach says the English supporters are very much aware of the earthquake, and are conscious of the difficulties Christchurch is facing.
He says 33,000 tickets have been sold so far, but he is hoping 40,000 people will attend the game.
