Coca-Cola going ahead with Ch'ch plant expansion

The global company Coca-Cola Amatil has confirmed it will go ahead with a $15 million expansion of its plant in Woolston, Christchurch.

The plan was postponed after the 22 February quake.

Prime Minister John Key, who was on hand for the announcement on Thursday, says he sees the company's investment as an endorsement that the city will be rebuilt.

Mr Key says the new plant will ensure that Coca-Cola Amatil's 140 staff in Christchurch retain their jobs.
