Infrastructure projects delayed by quakes

The two Canterbury earthquakes have seriously delayed infrastructure projects around Christchurch.

Redevelopment of the international airport and building of the city's southern motorway are months behind schedule.

Work has resumed and the first stage of the $237 million airport redevelopment, a new regional airline terminal, will open on Monday after a two-month delay.

Completion of the new southern motorway has been delayed by six months. It is now due to open in December next year.
