The police still have up to 1000 vehicles to bring out of the devastated Christchurch central city.
Superintendent Andy McGregor says they have brought out more than 3200 vehicles, including 600 from the Farmers carpark, in the past few days.
Police are still encouraging people who have a car inside the red zone to contact them with the details.
