Police will stop recovering cars from the quake-hit centre of Christchurch from Wednesday.
The police vehicle recovery team has retrieved 5033 vehicles from the CBD.
People who still have vehicles parked in the central city need to contact police as soon as possible.
Nineteen vehicles have been identified as either too damaged or inaccessible to be recovered, and a further 89 are still at Hagley park to be claimed.
Any cars remaining after Wednesday will be towed to a secure location.
