Port Lyttelton sustained no further damage in Saturday's magnitude 5.3 aftershock.
It says engineers have conducted routine assessments since the aftershock and are satisfied with the port's safety. Operations are running as normal.
Saturday's aftershock was the strongest since the earthquake on 22 February.
