Fire in damaged Christchurch building

10:22 am on 26 May 2011

The Fire Service in Christchurch is investigating a fire that broke out at an earthquake-damaged building just outside the red zone.

Seven fire trucks were called to the block of flats in Salisbury Street just before 4am on Thursday.

The Fire Service says the building had been declared unsafe to live in after February's quake, and no one was in it at the time.
