Water still problem for thousands

10:38 pm on 17 June 2011

The water supply remains a concern for some 16,000 Christchurch households.

Christchurch City Council has brought in extra workers and tankers to try to get water to residents in the worst affected suburbs.

Tankers have been positioned in the suburbs of Dallington, Mt Pleasant, Brookhaven, Bexley and Horseshoe Lake.

It will be more than a week before full water services are restored.
