The future of Christchurch's earthquake-damaged AMI Stadium will not be known until August.
An announcement was expected on Tuesday, but has been postponed for the third time.
Until recently, AMI Stadium was managed by the Christchurch City Council controlled event management company Vbase.
The council took Vbase, which also managed the damaged Town Hall and Convention Centre in-house in June after 151 staff were made redundant.
Cty councillor Sue Wells says an announcement about the future of the stadium has been delayed again as councillors are yet to be told about the options.
Ms Wells says initial reports show that the stadium can be repaired but any further announcements would be premature and more information will be available in August.
