The Christchurch tourism industry says it has missed $30 - $50 million by not having any Rugby World Cup games there.
Christchurch was to have hosted two quarter-final matches, but they were moved to Auckland after the AMI stadium was wrecked by the February earthquake.
Christchurch and Canterbury Tourism says losing the games was a huge loss for the industry.
Chief executive Tim Hunter says it's been a difficult year, with a significant drop in overseas visitor numbers.
