February quake anniversary views sought

The Christchurch Earthquake Relief Authority is asking Christchurch people to tell it how the anniversary of the earthquake on 22 February, should be commemorated.

CERA says it is mindful of the sensitivities and differing views concerning how the anniversary should be observed and are consulting the community to get feedback.

It says the process is not about organising anything to mark the anniversary but want to find out what a wide range of people think, where they want to be and what they want to do to mark the anniversary.

People are being asked to take part in a poll and submit their ideas online.
