Greg Yelavich returns to the Commonwealth shooting arena with a swag of medals and a reputation as one of the event's most victorious competitors.
The 53-year-old is arguably New Zealand's most successful athlete, with 11 Commonwealth medals - two gold, four silver and five bronze. Delhi will be Yelavich's seventh Commonwealth Games.
Yelavich is joined in the pistol event by Alan Earle, 51, who is attending his fourth Commonwealth Games. Earle won silver at Kuala Lumpur in 1998 and placed highly at the Manchester 2002 and Melbourne 2006 Games.
Other members of the 12-strong shooting squad include Nadine Stanton and Juliet Etherington.
Stanton, 35, is a regular in the New Zealand team, having competed in every Olympic and Commonwealth Games since 2002. The Manchester Games were her most successful, where she claimed gold and silver medals in the double trap pairs and singles, respectively.
Etherington, 31, will be hoping to add gold to the silver and two bronze medals she holds. Her highest Commonwealth achievement was winning silver in the 50m rifle - prone at Melbourne 2006. Her bronze medals were won in the pairs event in Melbourne and in the solo event at Manchester 2002.
At the other end of the experience scale are Myles Browne-Cole and Natalie Rooney, both aged 22.
Clay-shooter Browne-Cole set a trend for the future when he won gold and silver at the Sydney Youth Festival in 2007. Since then, he has gone on to win the Australian national trap title and claimed second place in the New Zealand nationals in 2008 and 2010.
South Canterbury Sportsperson of the Year Rooney will join with the experienced Stanton in the women's double trap pairs.
The squad is rounded out by Allan Sinclair, 39, John Snowden, 41, Mike Collings, 56, Sally Johnson, 40, Adrian Black, 25 and Ryan Taylor, 30.
When and where
Some 26 events make up the shooting competition including clay target, trap, skeet, pistol and small bore rifle. All events will be held at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range from 5-13 October.
