National has slightly increased its lead over Labour in the latest One News political poll.
Just over 1,000 voters took part in the poll last week, which has seen Labour's support drop by 2 points, to 35%.
National is up 2, to 53%, showing an 18% gap between the two major parties.
The Greens are up slightly to 5%, while New Zealand First has dropped from 2.6% to 1.8%, as it faces continued questions about donations to the party and its leader, Winston Peters.
The Act Party, which has pursued investigations into New Zealand First, is up 1.4% to 2%.
National's leader, John Key, is on 40% support as the preferred Prime Minister, while Helen Clark received 31%.
The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1%.
