Greens launch sustainable business policy

The Green Party wants any law changes that affect small businesses to only take effect on one of three days during a given year.

The proposal is part of its Sustainable Business Policy launched in Auckland on Thursday 16 October.

Green MP Sue Bradford says there are so many legislative changes that impact on small businesses, it is difficult for them to keep up.

She says having the changes come in on one of three days during the year would ease the pressure and costs on owners of small businesses, who have a "never ending sequence of dates" to remember at present.

Ms Bradford says the Greens also want to explore ways of improving access to capital, training and support for small businesses.
