National aims to boost New Zealand exports, as part of its Foreign Affairs and Trade policy.

It released the policy on Wednesday 29 October, promising to support exporters and focus on multilateral trade negotiations through the World Trade Organisation.

The party says it will ensure agencies such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Trade and Enterprise cooperate to present a New Zealand brand in international markets.

Strengthening the country's relationship with the United States is also a priority, while keeping New Zealand's nuclear-free legislation.

The party says it would focus the country's overseas aid budget in the Pacific, by not renewing projects in more distant regions.
