The Government has approved a $500,000 relief fund for Far North flood victims.
More than 20 houses in and around Kaeo need relocating or lifting, after several floods last year.
However, the cost is not covered by insurance and some families are still camping in the shells of their damaged houses.
Northland Labour list MP Shane Jones announced Cabinet approval of $500,000 funding from the Internal Affairs budget on Wednesday.
