The Mana Party says Maori people should be entitled to national superannuation at the age of 60, while the retirement age for everyone else should remain at 65.
Labour has announced a policy of increasing the retirement age from 65 to 67 by 2033.
Mana Party leader Hone Harawira says statistics show that 19 out of 20 Maori will pay tax all their lives and then die before getting a pension, and Labour's policy will ensure that even fewer Maori will get superannuation.
Mr Harawira told Radio New Zealand's Te Manu Korihi that it would be fair to lower the retirement age for Maori, as on average Maori die considerably younger than others.
The Maori Party has always advocated lowering the age of entitlement to 60 for people with a lower than average life expectancy.
