The Maori Party is removing a campaign billboard from an Auckland property where a toddler has died in what police are treating as a homicide.
Police have launched an investigation into the death of two-year-old James Joseph Ruhe Lawrence at his Orakei home on Monday
A Maori Party spokesperson says they were told late on Tuesday that a party billboard was on the grounds of the Takitimu Street property.
The spokesperson says party officials have been instructed to immediately remove the billboard out of respect for the boy's bereaved whanau.
