Button elected deputy mayor of Christchurch

Christchurch City Council has elected Ngaire Button as deputy mayor.
Mrs Button, 48, has just started her second term as a councillor representing the Shirley-Papanui ward, where she previously served on the community board.
The mother-of-six was the second-highest polling candidate in the ward.
