Top schools on stage at final day of Polyfest

8:15 am on 18 March 2012

Competition at Auckland's Polyfest hits high gear as the top schools take the stage on the final day.

The fine weather, food and entertainment have attracted bumper crowds so far at the Maori and Pacific cultural festival.

Festival director Tania Karauria says they're expecting more of the same on the final day.

She says Saturday is traditionally a day for families to bring picnics and make a day of it.

More than 9000 students from 58 schools have been performing over the four days.
