Strong winds forced posties to stop work in parts of the central North Island on Tuesday.
New Zealand Post says deliveries will not take place in Taranaki, including New Plymouth, Okato, Waitara, Inglewood, Stratford, Eltham, Hawera and Manaia.
Deliveries to Taupo are also on hold.
New Zealand Post has apologised for any inconvenience, but said postponing deliveries is the only sensible course of action.
