Victoria University students are vowing to continue protests at what they have described as substandard hostel conditions.
Residents of Cumberland House and McKenzies Apartment protested on Friday in central Wellington.
They waved placards which said "Mushrooms belong in the supermarket, not on my wall" and "It rains more inside than out."
Janet Thompson, who represents the building's owners, says the problems will be repaired in time for next year's students.
