Two men are due to appear in the Manukau District Court on Monday charged with the killing of 14-year old John Hapeta in South Auckland.
The teenager was beaten to death outside his home in Weymouth during a birthday party nearly two weeks ago.
A 21-year old and a 23-year old man are charged with murdering John Hapeta.
The men have also been charged with assault with intent to rob and possession of a pistol.
Detective Inspector John Tims says police are not ruling out any further charges against the men.
Mr Tims is still appealing for people with information to come forward, saying the two men arrested may have told friends or associates about what happened.
Police are not ruling out the possibility of further arrests.
