A man charged with attempted murder and unlawfully detaining two people following two stabbings in Christchurch has been remanded in custody while psychiatric reports are completed.
One man suffered multiple wounds in the attack which happened during rush hour on ??? March and a woman delivery driver was also injured.
At the Christchurch District Court on Thursday, psychiatric reports were requested to determine the accused's ability to plead and whether a defence of insanity can be made.
The man did not appear in court and has previously been remanded in custody to Hillmorten Hospital.
Interim name suppression has been continued.
