The names of the two men who were killed in a microlight crash near Auckland on Sunday have been released.
They are George Mitchell, 74, and Brian Martin Whiteman, 73.
The wreckage of the microlight was discovered in a paddock in Kaipara's South Head district on Sunday afternoon.
Mr Mitchell and Mr Whitman had been flying from Paraparaumu to Dargaville, after attending the air show at Ohakea.
They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Civil Aviation Authority is investigating.
