Bay business owners working the hardest

New figures show small business owners in Bay of Plenty take fewer holidays than anywhere else in New Zealand.

A survey by MYOB asked 1000 business owners how often they work extra hours or give up taking holidays in order to get work done.

General manager Julian Smith says two thirds of business owners in Bay of Plenty are taking fewer holidays than they normally would.

This is closely followed by the Otago and Southland, and Wellington regions.

At the other end of the scale, business owners in the Manawatu region take the most time off nationally.
