Maritime Union members went back to work at the Ports of Auckland on Thursday, saying there will be a lot of maintenance to be done.
Engineers and electricians resumed on Thursday morning, and stevedores will go back on Friday after almost six weeks of strikes, lockouts and redundancy notices.
An electrician, who wanted to be known as Scott, said there will be a number of jobs which had not been dealt with by non-union personnel.
