Two people are due to appear in the Tokoroa District Court on Monday after a methamphetamine laboratory was found in a Putaruru business premises.
Police executed a search warrant at Arapuni Street on Friday, making a forced entry and cordoning off the area, which contains shops.
Both the Putaruru and Rotorua fire brigades attended the incident as well as specialist police from Auckland.
A forensic examination was carried out on Saturday.
A 44-year-old woman has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, and possessing equipment and substances capable of producing the drug.
A 45-year-old man faces identical charges.
