Downed power lines caused three vehicles to crash in the Auckland suburb of Sandringham on Friday morning. One person is in hospital with moderate injuries.
Police say a power pole was hit by a vehicle earlier on Mt Albert Road near Huntingtree Avenue.
Power lines were brought across the road and three vehicles crashed trying to avoid them.
Senior Sergeant Chris Money says one person has serious injuries and one person is in a critical condition.
The road is closed and Vector has been advised.
