Public health officials in Auckland say there have been no further reported cases of Legionnaires disease after an outbreak involving 12 cases, one of them fatal.

The Auckland Regional Public Health Service says no new cases have been reported since Good Friday.

The service is working with Auckland Council to ensure that cooling towers linked to air-conditioning units are treated with chemicals to combat the disease.

Legionnaires Disease cannot be passed from person to person, and is generally carried in water droplets from a contaminated source.
