A former salesperson from the failed Blue Chip group has been sentenced in Invercargill District Court.
Rachel Anna Jarvis, 34, has been ordered to serve seven months' home detention, do 200 hours community work and pay $50,000 in reparation.
The Serious Fraud Office says Jarvis altered lending documents to secure loans for investors worth about $1.5 million.
It says the money was then used to buy properties which investors would otherwise be unable to afford.
Jarvis pleaded guilty to one charge of forgery and four of using a forged document for personal benefit.
