An aviation commentator says it is crucial Air New Zealand has full passenger loads for its new, lower fares across the Tasman.
Air New Zealand on Friday announced an average 15% drop in its flights from all main centres to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
This follows significant price cuts announced last month on Air New Zealand's Auckland-Sydney and Auckland-Melbourne routes.
Air New Zealand has spent almost $60 million in upgrading 17 trans-Tasman aircraft.
