NZ short film to be shown at Cannes

A short film by the New Zealand director Zia Mandiviwalla has been selected from more than 4500 global submissions to be shown at the Cannes Film Festival.

Mandiviwalla's Night Shift will compete for the Palme d'Or du Court Metrage during the May festival against nine other short films, including one from Australia, Yardbird.

The short-film category also features productions from Germany, France, the United States, Turkey, Syria, Canada, Belgium and Puerto Rico.
