Auckland police have begun an investigation after a woman's body was discovered in her North Shore house on Thursday morning.
The woman, in her 30s, had been living at the property on Girrahween Drive in Totara Vale.
Inspector Willie Taylor says the scene is closed off and the death is being treated as unexplained.
Officers have been at the house since 7am. Mr Taylor says forensic staff and a pathologist are also at the scene.
The woman's next-of-kin are being notified.
