Highlanders beat the Blues 30-27 in Super rugby, in a close fought match in Dunedin on Friday.
The win means the Highlanders finally get their hands on the Gordon Hunter Memorial trophy for the first time since 2006.
Hunter coached the Blues and the Highlanders, and played for Otago.
