Towing company owner charged

The owner of an Auckland tow truck company is facing court action and has been removed from the police on-call towing roster.

Michael Woods, 48, has been charged unlawful conversion of a motor vehicle.

Detective Inspector Mark Gutry says the police also removed 20 cars from the company on Thursday night.

Mr Woods is to appear in Manukau District Court on 2 May. He runs East City Towing.
