Police are searching for a teenager missing from Auckland Hospital's acute mental health unit.
Tevita Lea'aetoa has not been seen since Saturday when he left the hospital for two hours of unescorted approved leave.
Police say the 18-year-old in-patient has not used his bank account or contacted his family.
They say he does not have his medication with him and his behaviour can be erratic and unpredictable.
Mr Lea'aetoa is described as Polynesian, of a solid build, with a tattoo of the number 1 on his left hand.
He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, long trousers and tan boots.
