Buses to stop for driver's funeral

6:31 am on 6 May 2012

Some bus services in Wellington will be disrupted on Monday due to the funeral of a driver who died last weekend.

Herman Curry, 64, was found lying unconscious near his bus at the Waterloo interchange.

Four people were later arrested for stealing his cashbox.

Police say a post-mortem indicates Mr Curry was not assaulted.

NZ Bus says all Valley Flyer and Airport Flyer services are being cancelled from 9am - 2pm on Monday as a mark of respect for Mr Curry and his family and to allow colleagues to attend his funeral.

A GO Wellington shuttle will run between the airport and Queensgate in Lower Hutt between 9.30am - 2pm.
