No scalped Warriors tickets cancelled

Warriors management say no scalped tickets were cancelled to the team's semifinal match against the Sydney Roosters in Auckland on Friday, however one man fled before his ticket was denied.

The Warriors made it into the rugby league preliminary final after a remarkable second half comeback saw them to a 30-13 win over the Sydney Roosters in Auckland.

Public tickets to the match were snapped up in just 11 minutes last week, and some began appearing on TradeMe at significantly higher prices within hours of the sellout.

The team had said it would deny entry to people who had purchased tickets that were being sold-on at inflated prices.

A Warriors spokesperson says officials were in the process of denying entry to a man with a scalped ticket, but he took off before the process was completed.
