A man has pleaded guilty to the murder of a Christchurch woman whose body was found in an abandoned car.
Keith Donald Bonner entered the plea at the Christchurch District Court on Friday.
The body of Tracey Lee Morris was found in a car close to Christchurch Airport in early January.
She had last been seen finishing work at a bar on Papanui Road.
The officer in charge of the case, Detective Inspector Virginia Le Bas, said the guilty plea will be a relief for the family of Ms Morris, who will be spared having to go through a trial.
