Police in Nelson have released the name of a woman found dead in her house in Richmond on Thursday. She was 39-year-old Sharyn Wilkinson-Foley.
Ms Wilkinson-Foley's body was discovered by a relative at her home in Salisbury Road at about 6.30pm after she failed to turn up to work.
Detective Inspector Geoff Jago says family members have told investigators she had recently ended a relationship, and the police want to speak to her former partner.
Mr Jago says Ms Wilkinson-Foley had been assaulted but he is not yet able to give any information about her injuries.
A post-mortem is being carried out.
