Police seek clues to mystery parcels from Paris

9:58 am on 15 May 2012

Police say four surprise parcels have been received by people in the Greymouth and Hokitika areas in the past week.

The parcels have come from unknown people in Paris and all contain a hairdryer, or hair clippers, and cash.

Most have contained two 50 euro notes, although one of the parcels had a 100 euro note.

Police say at this stage, they have not made any criminal connection with the parcels and they appear to simply be a goodwill gesture.

However, they would like to hear from anyone else who has received a parcel.
