Bodies found in car crashed on the Port Hills on Monday are those of a Christchurch mother and daughter, police have confirmed.
Marilyn Zidich, 62, and Selina Madden, aged 35, were reported missing by a family member on Thursday.
Their deaths have been referred to the Coroner who will determine the cause of death.
The family of the two women have released a statement thanking police and the public for their assistance in the search.
