Police in Hamilton have named a cyclist found dead on a city street at 1am on Tuesday.
He was James Todd, 34.
Mr Todd was found lying on a footpath in Victoria Street near the Fairfield bridge.
A post-mortem is being held in Auckland on Wednesday.
Police say preliminary inquires indicate no-one else was involved.
