Coffee lovers forced to pay more for daily fix

Coffee drinkers are having to dig a little deeper for their daily caffeine fix.

In the past six to eight months, many cafes in New Zealand have put their prices up by 30 to 50 cents, leaving some coffee lovers frothing at the mouth.

Cost increases across the board - including rising milk prices - are being blamed for the largest price hike in about a decade.

The Coffee Roasters Association says most cafes have held off rising prices, but many can no longer afford to absorb the costs.
