Police in Waikato are warning drivers to take care on the stretch of State Highway 3 and 4 between Mapiu and Te Kuiti after an oil spill on Sunday afternoon.
They say there's already been one accident, but fortunately no-one was injured.
Police said it would be some time before the road was back to normal.
