Police say the disappearance of a Christchurch woman seems more sinister as time goes by.
Tisha Lowry, 28, from Aranui was last seen on Wainoni Road on 25 September.
Detective Senior Sergeant Virgina Le Bas says a boat search of the Avon River failed to yield anything relevant to the inquiry on Tuesday morning.
However, she says police also spoke to motorists on Wainoni Road and gained new information about people who may be connected with Ms Lowry.
The missing woman's mother, Tanya Lowry, has urged anyone with information to come foward, saying someone has to know where her daughter is and she just wants her to come home.
