About 250 people are still without power following severe weather which battered the lower North Island on Tuesday.
Powerco network operations manager Ross Dixon says most of the affected households are in eastern Taranaki, with a few in Manawatu and Wairarapa.
Mr Dixon says crews are working to reconnect these customers and power should be back on by Wednesday night.
