Three people were injured, one seriously, when a car being chased by police in Northland crashed into a house.
Police say a Toyota Altezza failed to stop near Grigg Street in Kaitaia at about midnight on Friday after hitting another vehicle.
After a short pursuit which lasted about a minute, it crashed into a house.
No one inside the house was injured.
Three people from the car were taken to hospital.
One of them, aged 18, was flown to Whangarei hospital with serious injuries.
The others were taken to Kaitaia hospital. One has since been discharged.
Police say no charges have been laid and their investigations continue.
Inspector Lou Alofa says he is confident all police guidelines were followed during the pursuit.
