Two elderly men killed in a head on collision near Greymouth on Friday night were brothers.
Carson Shea, 69, and his brother Gregory Shea, 62, died when their car collided with a truck on State Highway 7 east of Greymouth at about 6pm on Friday.
The police say it appears the car had crossed the centre line into the path of the oncoming truck.
The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.
